Instrumentation & Controls
0–10 V to Percent Span
Where a voltage signal sits in its configured span. Defaults to 0–10 V. Not clamped.

How to fill it
Fill the inputs. The tool shows the outputs.
On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.
Formula
f = V / 10 VInputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| Signal voltage (camera) | V |
| Range lower (optional) | V |
| Range upper (optional) | V |
Outputs
| Name | Unit |

| Span (hero result) | % |
Diagnose
Observations are context. They do not pass or fail a structure. See Diagnose.
| When | Observation | Severity |
|---|---|---|
span fraction < 0 or span fraction > 1 | Outside configured span | caution |
Assumptions
- Leave range blank for 0–10 V. 1–5 V devices should enter those limits.
Provenance
- Linear analog voltage. Negative and >10 V are reported, not clipped.
