Linear Sensor Scaling
Generic linear scale: any signal range onto any engineering range. Both sides are dimensionless so the same tool covers mA, V, and counts.

How to fill it
Fill the inputs. The tool shows the outputs.
On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.
Formula
EU = EU_L + (x − x_L) / (x_H − x_L) × (EU_H − EU_L)Inputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| Signal | 1 |
| Signal lower | 1 |
| Signal upper | 1 |
| EU lower | 1 |
| EU upper | 1 |

Diagnose
Observations are context. They do not pass or fail a structure. See Diagnose.
| When | Observation | Severity |
|---|---|---|
span fraction < 0 or span fraction > 1 | Outside configured span | caution |
Assumptions
- Dimensionless on both sides — convert mA/V/psi with the dedicated 4–20 mA or 0–10 V tools when mixed units matter.
- Zero-width signal range is rejected.
Provenance
- Linear interpolation. Enter signal and EU in the same numeric units you care about.
