Fan Heat

Heat to the airstream = electrical input × heat-to-air fraction. The fraction is required — motors do not dump 100% into the duct by default.

How to fill it

Fill the inputs. The tool shows the outputs.

On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.

Formula

Q = P_e × f

Inputs

NameUnit
Electrical inputW
Heat-to-air fraction%

Outputs

NameUnit
Heat to air (hero result)W

Diagnose

This tool does not attach diagnose observations.

Assumptions

  • Not a fan-affinity or brake-horsepower tool (see mechanical shaft power).

Provenance

  • In-airstream motors often approach f ≈ 1. Out-of-airstream motors are much lower. Enter the fraction you believe.
