Sites

A site is a place you return to. Readings without a site are a notepad, not a record.

A site is a place: a station, a panel, a span, a job. Measurements, photos, forms, and calculations file there.

Home and Sites

  • Home — last work and nearby sites on this device, for the active project.
  • Sites — the list and the map. Open a site for its record.

The Sites tab is the filing cabinet. Home is the last page you used.

Create a site

  1. Open Sites.
  2. Use the map or the new-site control.
  3. Name the place.
  4. Save.

You can also create a site from Point on Field when GPS has a fix. See Phone.

GPS

Fieldeng shows a fix when the device has one. It does not invent coordinates. A reading without a fix is still a reading. It is not a mapped point.

Photos

You can attach a photo to a site. The frame stays on the device.

Project scope

Sites on the list are the sites for the active project. Switch projects in the menu if the site you want is on another job.
