Cathodic Protection
Reference Electrode Conversion
Convert a measured potential between Cu/CuSO4, Ag/AgCl, SCE, and zinc so you know the target on each electrode.

App id: MEAS-01. Reference version 1.0.
How to fill it
Fill the inputs. The tool shows the outputs.
On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.
Formula
Eout = Ein + offsetFrom − offsetToInputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| Measured potential (camera) | mV |
| Source offset to Cu/CuSO4 | mV |
| Target offset to Cu/CuSO4 | mV |
Outputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| Converted potential (hero result) | mV |
Diagnose
This tool does not attach diagnose observations.
Assumptions
- Offsets are to Cu/CuSO4 (CSE). Example engineering values at ~25 °C, not a licensed table: Cu/CuSO4 0 mV; Ag/AgCl sat. KCl +117 mV (add to Ag reading to get CSE); SCE +72 mV; Zn +1100 mV.
Provenance
- Offset-to-CSE conversion: Ecse = Ein + offsetFrom; Eout = Ecse − offsetTo.
