EIRP
Effective isotropic radiated power from TX power, feedline losses, and antenna gain.
RF, Radio & WirelessNetworking & Communications
Effective isotropic radiated power from TX power, feedline losses, and antenna gain.
App id: RF-03. Reference version 1.0.
How to fill it
Fill the inputs. The tool shows the outputs.
On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.
Formula
EIRP = P_TX − cable − connectors + G_iInputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| TX power | dBm |
| Cable loss | dB |
| Connector loss | dB |
| Antenna gain | dBi |
Outputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| EIRP (hero result) | dBm |
Diagnose
This tool does not attach diagnose observations.
Assumptions
- Losses are positive magnitudes (zero dB allowed).
- Antenna gain is isotropic (dBi). Use RF-17 to convert dBd.
Provenance
- EIRP is referenced to an isotropic radiator.
