First loop

This lesson walks one complete loop. When you finish, the site has a reading and you know where the rest of the app lives.

1. Set the project

1. Open the menu (top left).
2. Tap + New Project if you have none.
3. Enter a name. Pick a signal color if you want the project mark to match a job.
4. Save. The menu shows this project as active.

Later work files under the active project. Switch projects from the same menu.

2. Open a site

1. Open the Sites tab.
2. Create a site, or pick one on the map.
3. Name it for a place you will return to: a station, a panel, a span.

Home shows last work and nearby sites. Sites is the list.

3. Capture a reading

1. Open the Field tab.
2. Confirm the site at the top.
3. Choose Number.
4. Pick a kind (Voltage, Current, and the rest).
5. Type the value. Save it to the site.

You can also speak the number, photograph a display, or use a phone instrument. See Capture.

4. Run a tool when you need a number

1. Open Tools.
2. Open a calculator.
3. Use Calc for inputs. Use Reference to read the formula.
4. Save the result to the same site.

A tool can take a Field reading you already confirmed.

5. Leave with a record

Open the site. You should see the capture and the calculation. That is the loop.

Forms, Records, and Trends live on the project in the menu when the job is a repeating sheet.
