App id: GEO-15. Reference version 1.0.
How to fill it
Add rows as you need them. The tool uses every row you enter.
On the tool screen, Calc is the working sheet. Presets stores values you reuse. Reference is the formula, assumptions, and provenance below.
Formula
N/S/E/W = min/max; width, height from mid-lat haversineInputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| Latitude (camera) | deg |
| Longitude (camera) | deg |
Outputs
| Name | Unit |
|---|---|
| North (hero result) | deg |
| South | deg |
| East | deg |
| West | deg |
| Center latitude | deg |
| Center longitude | deg |
| Width | m |
| Height | m |
Diagnose
This tool does not attach diagnose observations.
Assumptions
- Simple min/max in longitude. Not a geodesic minimum bounding rectangle.
Provenance
- Does not wrap the antimeridian. Width is east–west at the mean latitude.
